  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker often offer one of these. You typically lay a wager (a dollar is the normal value) to attempt to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like this are very tempting, they are also particularly complicated to succeed. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, think about this- you play 20 hands and lay the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game bet instead of a sucker wager. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a wager with greater odds employing that $20.
  • Single number wagers in Roulette: This is particularly true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only one. This shifts the overall house advantage from 2.63% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The single number wager has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the house advantage can be a huge 25%. No, that wasn’t a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you must pick, it is not recommended to bet on Keno very much. A number of times for fun, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you’ll quickly find yourself beaten.
